Good value in great location, enjoyed it. Positive: Great location, comfy beds. Big couches and TV in lounge. Welcome bottle of wine. Be aware front bedroom gets a lot of street noise on weekend nights. Negative: Steep stairs down to kitchen. Rusty shower rail and rusty cooker.

Dissappointing Positive: Location was good. The unit was cold, a little dirty, heaters broken, cockroaches in the downstairs kitchen, TV didn’t work, blood stains on Duvet (maybe from bed bugs), toilet seat slightly broken, dust and rubbish under both beds Negative: See above

Positive: Warm and cosy,close to everything

We had a pleasant stay and loved how close we were to everything. Positive: The location was fantastic- close to many iconic Sydney sights. The host was really prompt to answer questions or to act on any issues.

The location really is unbeatable, and it was a unique experience to stay in such a histor Positive: Wow — the location of this terrace townhouse on Gloucester Street couldn’t have been better! Right in the heart of The Rocks, it was an easy walk to Circular Quay, the Opera House, the Harbour Bridge, and all the cool spots Sydney has to offer. The house itself was large and well-appointed, providing a comfortable base for exploring the city. Staying in a heritage property added a lot of charm to our trip A useful tip for future guests: if you’re travelling with heavy bags, there’s an elevator that can take you down to Harrington Street and help you avoid all the stairs — it’s just past the steps to the right of the terrace houses. We were very glad to find it! Negative: However, the place could definitely do with a bit of a revamp and freshen-up to really bring it back to life. A few things to be aware of: • On arrival, the three different lockboxes on the front porch caused some confusion as we tried to find the right one. • With only one bathroom (and the toilet in the same space), it was a bit of a juggle for four people, especially in the mornings. • Bedrooms were quite small and had no storage space, which might be tricky for longer stays if you’ve got a lot of luggage. • At night, the alley behind and the street in front can get noisy thanks to the nearby pubs and people out partying. The windows are quite thin, so earplugs are a good idea if you’re a light sleeper.
